More? CafeWe've been running these cafés for a while now and they are proving to be a real encouragement as well as hugely exciting to be involved in. Last term at the 'More?' Cafes we looked at 'Life's Big Issues'. There was all the usual fun and all the usual amazing people (that's you!) but each week we talked about a different topic that, for many of us, may be a tricky area. The 5 topics we are looked at were: relationships, facebook, death, parents and living life to the full.

Please do bring your youth group down to join us and hang out. We continue to want to use these cafés to build relationships with young people and allow youth leaders to draw in new people and the fringe members of their groups. These cafés are a great way to do that and I hope to see you sometime over the coming months. See below for our diary of upcoming More? Café events.

The cafés are a great opportunity for your young people to be encouraged in their faith, connect with other young Christians in the area and also invite their non-Christian friends along to a safe, non-threatening environment.

These evenings have been a great blessing to many and previous courses we have run at The Merchant have enabled ‘the267project’, STEP and local youth leaders to develop relationships and conversations about faith further. We hope that the 'More?' Cafes will happen for at least 6 weeks every term so watch this space to see when they are.

“For a lot of young people, the thought of actually going into a church is quite daunting.  There are a lot of stigmas and stereotypes that go with the word ‘church’.  We wanted to offer young people a chance to come to a non-threatening environment to hear about Christianity, and to dispel the myth that Christianity is boring!"
